My OO9 GARRETT Engine.

I've decided to obtain an OO9 scale  GARRETT Engine- I've not had much to do with OO9 and am really ready for it now. The GARRETT is unique looking and has enough diversity in it's design to please.

Over the years I've enjoyed looking at articles on PD Hancock's OO9 Craig and Mertonford model railway- Philip built his Railway in his bedroom which was also his study, workshop and photographic room. I'm sure that the Railway in various forms has been the inspiration of many Railway Modellers.

All the best. Regards. KEV.

  1. Kev,

That’s a very nice model … and will be an asset on any model railway!

    All the best,

    1. BOB,
Yes the Garrett is certainly an interesting engine- I will be delighted to add a Langley crew to the open cab of the Garrett. Have you made more progress on your OO9 Layout? Regards. KEV.

  2. That was a really good looking model! I'm into 009 and H0e as well (same gauge but slightly different scales) and this year I got the new Kato 009/H0e set:

It's really useful for permanent or temporary set ups, and is easy and quick to assemble.
As Bos says, a nice asset... -But I would like to think it would be a nice asset for a wargame. Narrow gauge stock usually somes in all different sizes, and it would be nice to see this engine in the same photo as some of your 25mm wargaming miniatures, just to compere them (even they are different scales).

  3. That is a very nice-looking engine Kev. I am currently thinking I need some railway track to add to all the Stalingrad ruins I have been building out of cork tiles recently!
