The BOER WAR in 15mm.

 I've decided to do the BOER WAR in 15mm using the very nice ESSEX figures. I set up a game about thirty years ago for the Boer War - Laings Neck in 1/72nd - most enjoyable- hope to do the same in 15mm.

    I’ve often thought about gaming the boer war and considered everything from 6mm to 54mm but it’s never quite happened. I’ll be interested to see how it works out in 15mm

      MIKE- Yes, 15mm ESSEX is a good scale to do the 2nd Boer War. There are a lot of companies that make Boer War figures.

    I’ve played several wargames set during the Boer War and they have all proven to be great fun. The asymmetric nature of the fighting also means that you don’t need huge numbers of figures to fight a battle.

      One of the attractions for me to the 2nd Boer War is that you can get by with fewer figures - I'm thinking that 40 figures a side may be workable. Regards. KEV.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/actualsizeminiatures This firm will resize to other scales and does some excellent artillery. They did the 5" howitzer for me in 20mm.

STAR TREK Miniature Ship Game.

This evening I played out a STAR TREK game using the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 against the dreaded Klingon Cruiser. The Klingon ship lost the  confrontation outright with severe damage. In 1966 the original STAR TREK series went to air featuring Matt Jefferies ENTERPRISE. The USS Enterprise NCC-1701. The Klingon Cruiser. The Battle in progress. Really enjoyed this Star Trek Game - there will be more later on. All the best. KEV.
